Ayub Kola FCGA, FCA, FCPA
Mr. Ayub Kola has over 31 years of experience as a professional audit practitioner. He also has extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of Business Management, Financial and Management Consultancy, Accounting, Taxation, Corporate Secretarial Services, Debt/Equity Fund Raising and Risk Management.
He started his career with the Barbados office of PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in 1989 where he completed 13 years with this firm as a senior staff member. While at PwC Ayub was responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of clients in the Real Estate, Public sector, Manufacturing, Retail, Wholesale, Offshore services, Insurance, Utilities, Financial Services, and Tourism industries.
He joined the accounting firm of P. M. Ross and Company and the service Company of Administrative Services Inc. which he then took over and rebranded to Ayub Kola & Co Chartered Accountant. Until the Firm joined the Baker Tilly network in 2015 and was officially rebranded in 2018.
Mr. Kola has maintained an active presence with professional bodies, sitting on the Board of Directors of the CGA Association of Barbados, serving during the period 1989 to 1992, holding the position of Vice President in 1990 and succeeded to President in 1991. During his tenure, he travelled across Canada to conduct business for the Barbados association and was responsible for enhancing the administrative framework of the Association which included drafting the Association’s first By-laws. Mr. Kola also served as a member of the first CGA Barbados conference Committee. The conference attracted participants from across the Caribbean and Canada and is touted as one of the most successful CGA Conferences.
He is appointed as a consultant to the Board of several companies involved in Real Estate development, Poultry processing, Hospitality, Residential timeshares and condominium resorts including his appointment to the Board of the Four Seasons Project by the late Prime Minister of Barbados the Rt. Honorable David Thompson.
